Sarah Gahagan Tate, CPT, LMT
Originally from Maine, Sarah moved to Boulder in 2014 to further her lifestyle of adventuring.
An avid mountain and road biker, hiker, and skier (back country, alpine, and Nordic), Sarah
quickly found comfort in the mountains and people of Colorado. With her constant state of
movement, Sarah recognizes the importance of maintaining a fluid body, which is why she is
committed to providing her clients with the key to success through massage therapy.
Sarah’s interest in massage started at a young age when she would enthusiastically massage
her friends, most often on long bus trips to sporting events, a trait that quickly gained her
popularity! In college, she recognized that giving people massages was indeed a blessing, but
she decided to pursue a degree in order to make it an effective blessing. After receiving her
bachelors in Kinesiology from Liberty University, she studied massage at Miller-Motte Technical
Institute in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Also a practicing certified personal trainer through ACSM, Sarah understands the stresses our
bodies have to endure in our pursuit to wellness and is keenly aware of specific movement-
related injuries and muscle fatigue. She has been in the industry for over 10 years and has
worked with body builders, professional athletes, and pre- and post-natal, geriatric, and
pediatric clients.
Sarah can provide a relaxing session, focusing on Swedish massage, allowing the client to
experience a sense of peace and resetting; a therapeutic session, focusing on Deep Tissue,
allowing the client to experience a sense of release and realignment; or a more active session,
focusing on Sports Massage, allowing the client to experience greater range-of-motion and
the necessary pre- and post-event therapy.
Sarah is also an advocate of the “work hard, play hard” mentality, so when she’s not working
with clients, she can be found kettlebell training, adventuring in the mountains, galavanting all
over the world, or giving high-fives.
